I don't like historical fiction and this book is pretty much the perfect example of why. It's a boring synopsis that doesn't really tell you much of anything and then you look at the cover and then the synopsis and those two things together tell you absolutely nothing about the book just that it's a post WWII book, which of course it is because it's historical fiction. Then you start reading the firstlook and it's like of course everything is described in nauseating detail because we need to pad out this post ww2 historical fiction. I just didn't like it, it's not my cup of tea.
