Solid intro to what sounds like a great historical fiction

There was just enough detail to pull me in and make me want more! I love historical fiction in this time period and this book sounds like a different story line than the average one I’ve seen. I like the cover- it makes me wonder who the girl is and what she is doing- does she have a role in the war?
