I enjoyed my sneak peak of this book and am looking forward to finishing it someday, hopefully soon. Much is available about what went on during this war, but I don't recall ever coming across what life was like for ordinary German citizens in the years following it. The cover is attractive and appealing, making you want to pick it up to know more. The author is so skilled, you feel like you are there and can picture every character and scenario in your head.
