First, let me bring all of my cards to the table and admit that historical fiction is just not my thing. 9 times out of 10, historical fiction just does not hold my interest. I want so badly to be the type of person that enjoys it, but alas it is not in my hand. However, The German House intrigues me quite a bit. Hooked me from the first line of the description "If everything your family told you was a lie, how far would you go to uncover the truth?" I think this would also make a fabulous movie...depending on how the rest of the book plays out.
