I'm excited about this book because so many of the WWII novels I've read in recent years have focused on the events during the war. This one's setting during the Frankfurt Trials in the 1960s sounds as though it really captures what was happening in Germany in the years following the war, how even though the cities were able to rebuild the people were still left putting their pieces back together. I'm also hoping that, in its explanation of the Trials, it will explore how the outcomes of the War continue to affect the citizens of Germany, even those that were not directly involved.
