The German House by Annette Hess Is a story that takes place sometime in the 1960s, twenty years after WWII. Eva Bruhns is a young woman who gets a job as a translator for a Frankfort war crimes trial.
The trial is about 21 men who committed war crimes. Eva is also being courted by Jurgen with the hopes of a proposal. As her time as a translator, she joins a team of prosecutors determined to bring the Nazis to justice.
She has often wondered why her parents do not talk about the war and when she finds that everything her parents told her was a lie, she questions everything she knows.
This book sounds like one that I would love to read.
