I entered the raffle for this book on a total whim just to try out a new genre of book, but sadly I could not get into this book. I'm sure that anyone interested in genetics would adore this book, but for someone who has minimal prior knowledge, I found the book hard to follow. One random thing that first made me interested in this book was the cover, it is so eye-catching and different and it would totally stand out on a bookshelf. I only got about 1/2 way through this book before I chose to put it down because I was honestly just confused the whole time I was reading it. Despite my confusion at some parts, I did find a lot of the information very interesting as a newcomer to this realm of information and science. The other thing I liked about this book, was how it was structured and how well thought out the book was. I was sad that didn't enjoy this book as much as I hoped, but I got to take away some great knowledge from it.
