I was so looking forward to reading this book. However, it got bogged down in the details that were unnecessary for the story being told. For instance, bringing in EVERY single person who was involved in a project, even if in the periphery. Then going into each persons personality, background, education, etc. So many people, that the reader did NOT need to know about.
The fascinating parts of the book were the medical mysteries. Like the genetic heart condition that could strike at any time.
The book made me think about what MIGHT be possible for the future of genetics and medicine. The author made the unique point that why are all medicines the same....when we are all different, have different lifestyles, and different eating habits.
This book is a THICK book with a thin book SCREAMING to be let free.

Thank you to Bookishfirst and to the publisher for this ARC for this honest review.
