What an interesting book to read about the advancements in science and medicine today. My daughter is in Nursing School and although despite the numerous papers she’s got to complete over break, she’s decided it’s worth taking a break to squeeze this book in. The stories of how medical teams work so quickly and intensely to study the human genome so that they can further learn to help save lives in so many ways. To be able to diagnose and treat a never before known defects or other medical mysteries is awe inspiring in the stories told in this book. It makes you want to cry, not only that people care so much but that years ago the stories of survival would have just been fairytales. The ways in which they crack the genome code is quite like a detective solving a mystery; and you will read some fascinating stories in this non-fiction thriller.
