Thank you to Celadon Books and Dr. Euan Angus Ashley for a copy of The Genome Odyssey. I found this book to be fascinating for two main reasons. One, I am not a medical or science person so I learned alot from reading thie book. Two, I have a rare medical condition so it was interesting to read about other medical mysteries.
I especially enjoyed the stories of Ricky and of Leilani. Both stories were scary from a medical point of view but the dedication of their medical teams was amazing. I don't give away endings or spoilers in my reviews so i won't say anything specific.
Again, I am not a medical or science person. The Genome Odyssey taught me so much and was easy to read in layman's terms - which I appreciated. It was interesting and gave me a whole new appreciation for genomes.
This is not a dry, boring book meant as a medical text. It's for anyone to read and learn from.
