This is very different from my normal reads, though I do find such things of interest. The book was very informative, and it leaves the reader feeling hopeful about the future of healthcare. There are a number of medical terms that aren't always defined in layman's terms, and that could turn off or confuse some readers. It was interesting to see the various ways that genome science can change and impact our lives, as well as how this field has contributed to the Covid-19 vaccine development. It gives those with rare conditions hope for possible cures and advances in treatments for the future. I like how the book included stories of real patients. It made the book more relatable versus feeling like more of a textbook. Through the patients' stories, the medical terminology becomes clearer.

If you're someone who is interested in science and medicine, this is a book you should check out.
