When I first started looking over "The Genome Odyssey" by Euan Angus Ashley I was intrigue. The preface set up the text well. So I dove in. Initially I liked the set up. The narrative structure helps with a heavier scientific study. I was a fan, but then the narrative went on and on. I ended up being disappointed by how much storytelling was going on as opposed to content. I'm not a fan.
