This epic book of time travel is told from two perspectives, with two chapters that follow a side character.

One is Beth, an angsty punk teen growing up in the 90's. She deals with friend drama, overbearing parents, and poorly planned murder.

On the other side of the story is Tess. She travels through time (only to the past) by way of the Machines, a series of rock formations that have been here forever but nobody seems to know how they work. Tess, along with the other Daughters of Harriet, are on a feminist mission to stop men from erasing women's rights.

Oh and it's very inclusive in general.

The writing itself was good and I enjoyed the different perspectives. The pacing was fast and it drew me in. The ending was a little fast, bordering on anti-climatic, but overall I was satisfied with the ending and there were no loose ends.
