I am all in on time travel for women's rights. What an awesome concept, that there exist rock formations in the world, similar to Stonehenge, but that they send you backward in time -- and that they always have.

In Annalee Newitz's world in The Future of Another Timeline, her characters have always known the possibility of going back in time to make changes, i.e. edits, to history. Our main character, Tess, is part of an underground women's movement The Daughters of Harriet (Harriet Tubman, who in some of their timelines is a Congresswoman). She and her group live in a world where abortion is illegal and where men outrank women by matter of course. The group studies the past, looking for events that, if they could make them go another way, could change their present.

Punk rock, feminism, politics, and just great storytelling. Great novel by Newitz!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher, and I'm reviewing it of my own free will.
