Don't all of us at one time or another wish to turn back time, whether because of some mistake we think we made or to relive that one incredible moment all over again? Of course, as any one who has ever watched a time-travel movie knows, going back may not guarantee you return home again in one piece! This book definitely put its own stamp on time travel and has a really intriguing presence. Unlike other books or movies I've seen, the idea of competing time travelers "locking" or "unlocking" timelines is a really original idea, and would no doubt be a great way of getting at some interesting ideas about humans and humanity. As well, I like the fact that this book has two connected stories trading chapters with each other, so that you see from two different characters perspectives and wonder until the end how the two match up. I never really consider myself so much of a sci-fi guy, but this preview definitely has me questioning that now! I also like the nice touch on the cover of the clock that reminds me of the one from Back to the Future, and how it is incorporated into the flower design, hinting, I think in part, how time grows and lives differently for everyone. This looks like it's going to be a wild ride!
