I am a wee bit confused as to what's happening here, I'll admit. But the 1992 setting is fun, and it's clear that not only time travel is involved, but some sort of villainous plot to use time travel to oppress women. It sounds like both of the POVs from the excerpt are strong main characters, and both of their stories so far sound pretty appealing! I also figure that once I read more of the book, the confusion that I had will dissipate as I make more sense of what seems like a pretty unique world!
