Thriller that is similar to Hitchcock
When I read the first look of this book, I was excited to get a chance to read this. I tend to gravitate towards thrillers and from reading the first look it seemed that this book would be something I would love to read. Unfortunately, this book was not quite what I thought it would be and fell a little short. I think of of the problems was that I just couldn't like the main character. This made it very hard for me to get into the story enough to really like it. The story is written in the third person, but at times it would switch to the main character's thoughts which I found confusing to follow. The biggest disappointment was when it felt like a big turning point was coming, but then it never came. The story did start off strong, and honestly quite creepy, but just did not last as I would have liked to. I think this book would be good for someone that is not quite familiar with thrillers but someone who reads them regularly it just wasn't for me.
