Thank you to BookishFirst for the eARC of this novel. While I didn’t hate it, I also didn’t love it. The MC is actually pretty annoying and it took a lot for me to just get through the last chapter. Whenever I can’t connect with the main character it’s usually a bad sign. Lincoln was a good character though. The title doesn’t even really make sense for this novel. I mean it’s referenced in the book but VERY briefly. There could’ve been a better title. I found some of the plot to be repetitive. And other parts to be unrealistic. It just didn’t wow me for a thriller. I wondered if the author was trying to make this a series with the ending but this one just missed the mark for me unfortunately. So if there is a sequel, I don’t see myself reading it.
