The First Impression doesn't go into much detail about the premise of the book (about the main character, Claire being stalked) but rather sets up the scene of Claire's life as she deals with a hostile and cruel grandmother who has dementia. Claire notices she's being followed but she's not sure who is following her and why. It was hard to get into this book because Claire is someone that is hostile, not unlike the grandmother who raised her. I dont relate to Claire at all which makes the book harder to get into.
