My son was a huge fan of the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer; he had every single book and was disappointed when the series ended. When I saw this book about Fowl’s twin brothers, I couldn’t wait to get a copy.

This book is marketed for middle school kids, and I’m sure, older kids/adults who were fans of the previous series will be excited to find that the story continues with these two boys. With a troll, a fairy, some bad people and advice left for the brothers from Artemis who is on his way to Mars, this has some terrific elements to make this an intriguing story. The two brothers are as unalike as boys can be. Myles has a high IQ of 170, but his brother, Beckett, doesn’t really care about all Myles “thinking”. For the most part, he is all about living in the moment and communicating with animals and other beings. The two do get along, but their ways of reacting to the situations they find themselves in are vastly different and often amusing.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and highly recommend it.
