I think I have gotten to the point in my life where I have a hard time finding young novels interesting. This one is definitely an exception however. I loved the Artemis Fowl series when I was young, and Colfer was one of my favorite authors for many years.I found his stories interesting and captivating and I loved his characters.
I liked this book because it reminded me of my childhood. It was nicely done and well written, but too young for me now. I would recommend this to any parents that are looking for something for their child, but I would not necessarily recommend it to adults as it is obviously geared towards children.
I am glad that Colfer is still writing and look forward to giving his books to my own children someday.
