I'm a big time fan of anything that Ruta Sepetys writes as I've read all of her other books as well. The Fountains of Silence was one I wholeheartedly loved just as much as her other novels. If you're not a fan of historical fiction this is an absolutely perfect author to read to ease your way into the genre. I generally don't like them but Sepetys choose moments in history that don't get quite as much attention.
I felt like I learned so much about the Spanish Civil War through this story that otherwise I would never have come across. I love the shifting perspectives as it keeps me hooked in the story and builds investment on figuring out how all the stories will intersect. Definitely recommend this to all!
