A gripping and beautifully written book. A story that dates back in a time where loyalty means everything, dictatorship kept families in fear, and the drive to make a life worth living draws out the course of fate. The characters in this book are all so important but none as important as Daniel Matheson, the son of an Oil Tycoon. In a time where family comes first, it's interesting to see Daniel test the waters of his own journey, face his fears, and go against what he is expected to do with himself for something that his heart yearns for most. It's anything but a cliche love affair. It's so much more. Beautiful and heart wrenching, gripping and intriguing, maddening and wonderful. I loved every bit of this story.
