The beginning of this book has me hooked. Franco and Spain during this time is a subject I am not too familiar with, and I look forward to reading more. The characters create an immediate interest for me. Two families worlds apart. I want to know how the author brings them together, how they will interact through the chapters and into the conclusion. Love the quotes interspersed. I love history and a chance to encounter it in reading fiction. I want to know about Ana and what she has done that has raised suspicions in another unknown (perhaps) character. It will be interesting to see how all the characters develop through the plot. I have read another book by this author and really enjoyed it.
