Frustratingly good
This book really surprised me in the sense that everything came pretty full circle by the end, and I didn't expect it to. It's all about secrets and the consequences of keeping them, as every character in the book has secrets, and a lot of the plot is motivated by lies, secrets, taking risks, and self preservation.
This is my second read by this author, and I think she's really talented at building multifaceted, realistic characters, but my favorite aspect of her writing is the way she creates atmosphere and description. I've never read a book with this setting, but at times I really felt like I could visualize it.
It was not a perfect book, and it's not one that blew me away necessarily, but I really liked it and would read it again!
