When you read the Fountains of Silence you will be going through a couple characters perspectives as they all tell their stories. We start in Madrid 1957 under a fascist dictatorship of General Francisco Franco. We learn about Spains undercover secrets from our characters journey and more about the Spanish Civil War. I always love everything Ruta Sepetys write due to how beautifully it all flows.She always takes a serious topic not talked about much and shows it to her readers. I know I would of read this in one sitting if I was able to. You will fall in love with the characters and feel sad for what had happened in Spain. I will always recommend any of her works and this is one you have to pick up!
