Ruta Sepetys has done it again! This is a story that everyone will be talking about. Being of Spanish origin I was intrigued by this story from the summary. I will be honest in admitting that I do not have a lot of knowledge about Spain and it's history. Not only does Sepetys tell an immersive beautiful story, she also educates her readers.
I found the cover to be beautiful and am curious who the cover is supposed to illustrate.
I love how each chapter ends in a cliffhanger. Similar to her other books, the characters in this story are all connected to each other, despite their differences. I am eager to read more and need the book to come out now so I can finish reading it. I already feel connected to the characters and want to see how their stories unfold.
This is certainly a book I can see myself recommending to my students.
