I have been hesitant about whether or not I want to read this book, as I tried and failed twice to read Salt to the Sea, but the excerpt has me hooked already on this story! I love the setting and time period of the book, especially since it's a part of history that I am unfamiliar with. I look forward to reading the book and learning more about the Spanish civil war and these characters!
