Since Between Shades of Grey, I've loved Ruta Sepetys. At the time, I was working on exhibit information similar to the book, it matched my life perfectly. By the time I read Salt to the Sea though, I didn't like it as much and have been a bit nervous about this novel because covering Spain in the 1950s is important to me in ways that I sometimes forget about. So far the narrative is stronger than Salt to the Sea, I felt as if the multiple first pov weakened the book where this starting in third sounds more promising that I ever though. I need to read this book sooner than later, and I look forward to incorporating the historical content in some sort of way in my life.
