This book weaves together history with an interesting story of the people of the time. Dispersed throughout the book are bits of Spanish, which makes the book hard to read unless you are familiar with the Spanish language. Though the book is written as a story, not just straight facts and figures, the tone is very serious. I believe it will be a very popular book and a must-read for many with an interest in Spanish historical fiction.
