As I read the first impression of this book, my heart just ached. To have your father shot before your eyes as a child is just inconceivable. I read "Between Shades of Gray" and was moved by the story. Ms. Sepetys has written another moving story. My grandfather was shot by Musselini troops so this is going to hit home some for me. Cannot wait to read this historical fiction book!
