I thought the title of the book was appropriate due to the citizens not being able to speak to foreigners. I wonder if Ruth Sepetys had family there during Franco's rule. To think it was 1957 and women had to wear swimming suits down to their knees, and no pants. Such restrictions. People were going hungry but the hotels were lavish. We meet Daniel Matheson, son of an oil magnate there to set up a business in Spain. His son is there to win a photography contest, Rafa and Puri were mentioned to show the abuse they suffered in the
orphanage when they were younger, The nun brought them babies to bury, All Rafa could think about was changing the system. I would like to continue reading this book.
