I’m so fascinated by this period and time in Spain’s history that Rita Sepetys has recreated. I’m not familiar with it, yet immmediately you feel like you can understand how Ana feels. Just as characters begin interacting this first glimpse ends and you’re left wanting to know what Ana needs to be silent about!
