I have read and re-read Ruta Sepetys' other books, and I acquire multiple copies of them for my high school library because they're so valuable to use for the teachers who assign historical fiction for students' choice reading. The beginning of this one looks as promising as her other novels. I feel an additional pull to this one because I have traveled through Spain, and I always enjoy reading books set in places I have been. Using different characters' viewpoints isn't something that is easy to do, especially with 4 instead of the usual 2 in YA, but Sepetys did it well in Salt to the Sea, and the first few pages of this book seem to do the same. I can't wait to read the rest of this novel!
