This book focuses on the history of Spain in the 50’s, after the Spanish Civil war was won by Generalissimo Francisco Franco. You meet a family, each of whom is trying to make their way in this world, as well as an American who is there for the summer, as Spain has finally opened it’s borders to tourism.
