A compelling read of a forgotten time in history

I am a huge fan of historical fiction, and after reading this, it had me wanting to read more of it. I haven't read many (if any) books with a setting in Spain. I also knew very little about Francisco Franco and the effect his ruling had on the people. The author does a masterful job at providing some background on the time period. I can already tell that her thorough research on this time period will shine through in this novel. I can't wait to read this one!
