Quick, Twisty Read
After the death of her first husband, Tom, Alice has found a second chance at love with Nathan. Alice has a best friend, Beth, who she confides in when things seem off with Nathan. Did Alice just make the biggest mistake of her life?
I read this book very quickly...it was hard to put down and I kept turning the pages to find out what was going to happen next. However, I did not particularly enjoy part two, Beth's narrative, and that part dragged a little for me. The twist at the end was solid.
The First Mistake was a solid follow-up to the author's debut novel, The Other Woman (watch for the mention of it in this book), and I look forward to seeing what's next from Sandie Jones.
