Where oh, where so I begin with the First Mistake? Right from the first paragraph you know that this book is going to be filled with lies and deceit, and boy was it! The story flowed well and wrapped itself up in a nice little package by the end. My problem with the novel was that I didn't really like any of the characters. The story is mainly about a woman named Alice, her husband Nathan and her best friend Beth. Alice ha gone through many hardships in the past and I tried to keep that in mind while reading, but still couldn't help but not like her. Her decision making skills were poor and frustrating to say the least. I ultimately didn't care what happened to her in the end and it made the book sort of lack luster for me. I really did enjoy Sandie Jones' previous novel, The Oher Woman, but this one just fell short for me.
