This book is about a woman who is on her second marriage to a man that is not what he seems. The first part of the book covers Alice's past with her first husband and how their marriage ended. The second part covers her best friend's relationship with Thomas and her past. The third part goes back to the present and shows how Alice's marriage to her husband and her relationship with her best friend has become strained. She starts noticing that things are not what they seem. She has to decide who to trust and figure out what to do. I like that this book keeps you on your toes. You think that the book is going one way and it reverses and pulls up stuff from the past that should have been noticeable. I thought this book was well written and enjoyed the psychological components. This is the second book I have read by this author and will not be the last.
