The prologue hooked me right in. The first 3 chapters introduce you to Beth and Alice and their brood of children. You get the impression that they are as close as sisters but there is some hidden tension. I have to read this book because I need to know what's going on. The kids are getting into fights at school, Alice is dressing extra fancy for work, and her daughter Livvy starts acting very different which all tell me that there are some pretty big secrets afoot. I really, really need to know exactly what happened to Alice's first husband and how she came to be married to her second. I have to read more to find out so I will be adding this book to my TBR pile for sure and buying a copy as soon as it's available.
