Feels of foreshadow

The First Mistake had had an impending sense of foreshadow. I was worried for the main character and her business, her marriage, and her relationships with her daughters. This novel had me wanting to continue reading to find out just how she will manage to balance all the relationships in her life and ensure that no harm comes their way.

The writing style was attention grabbing because of how the main character shares her thoughts with the reader. I felt as if I truly made a connection with her after reading only a few chapters. She is a realistic protagonist in the story and that's what makes her likable to the reader. She is an easy character to relate to as a mother, wife, and business owner struggling to maintain professional relationships in the world.
