*I am reviewing an uncorrected proof of, The First Mistake by Sandie Jones.*
This was one of the most twisted novels on deception and lies I've read in a long time.
I thoroughly enjoyed the story of Alice, Nathan, Tom and Beth. After losing her first husband, Tom, Alice remarries, a gentleman named Nathan and life is good. Until a series of text messages, a bouquet of flowers and other things pop up that makes Alice anxious. She relies on her friendship with Beth to pull her through some of the things, but is Beth all that a BFF should be?
While Alice had me at odds regarding her anxiety and taking medication - was it because of what happened to Tom that drove her to do so?- I saw it as a centered part to her story. All else I have to say, is, be careful with online hook-ups.
