I had never read a book by Sandie Jones so I had no preconceived notions on how much I might enjoy the book, but "The First Mistake" did not disappoint.
The book centers on Alice, who marries Nathan after the loss of a husband years earlier and starts a family. There is also the best friend named Beth, who plays a key role in this thriller.
Alice wonders if she made a mistake not only with her marriage, but friendship with Beth as well. I won't spoil it, but the book kept me glued to the pages right to the end and I liked Sandi Jones style of writing....kept you interested and engaged. My only disappointment was the ending, as I like things all cut and dry at the end and not so vague and to your own theories. It was definitely worth the read, though, and I would definitely recommend it.
