Alice is living the life of her dreams after the nightmare of her first husband's death. Her new hubby, Nathan, is her partner in life and in the business she created with her first husband.
Her children, Sophia and Livvy are great kids, but the typical mom/daughter relationship is alive and well. Sophia loves her mom, but with the typical aloofness that only a teenager can perfect. Livvy is a tween that up until recently has been a great kid. But there is an underlying problem that begins to make it's way to the surface. The problems Livvy is having in school might have deeper roots than the usual sniping between young girls.
