There were so many parts of this book that I really enjoyed! For one, the friendship between our main characters. Nick, Seth, Gibby, and Jaz were so fun to read. They knew each other so well and their quick remarks were too funny. I also can't get over how much the parents and other adults just care but are clueless about their teenagers. It was so pure! It wasn't like other times when parents "just don't get me" or when they don't try to understand. Almost all of the interactions in this book were hilarious!

The blend of a real world and then the mix of Extraordinaries was so interesting. It definitely felt odd and stilted at the begginning, but comparing them to Marvel superheroes definitely added to the strange world that Nova City has come true. The play of who is who for the two Extraordinaires was really well done. I like to think that I usually get the plot twist before it happens, but even I was pleasantly surprised. I just enjoyed reading the book! The pacing didn't drag or make me feel like there was too much backstory or wording. It felt as real as a true superhero could! I would definitely recommend this book to my friends and students.
