I am not drawn to superhero stories outside of comic books - usually I need that addition of the pictures to go with the story. But then a little book called Renegades came along and changed my mind. So, when I happened upon the Extraordinaries I knew I had to read it.
For me, this one was a one sitting read - not because of the stories length, but because I did not and could not put the book down! Once you start it draws you in and has you on the edge of your seat wondering what the next move will be.
The extraordinaries deals with heavy topics while keeping the story somewhat lighthearted and fun - something that isn't super easy to do. I cannot wait to read the sequel when it becomes available!
