As expected of a TJ Klune book this one is hilarious. There are plenty of lighthearted moments that will have you screech laughing and scaring those around you. There’s also fantastic relationships and all the complexities those come with when dealing with friends, parents and new love.

Nick is a sweetly oblivious teen who happens to have adhd. He and those around him struggle to not see it as a hindrance, except for his best friend Seth.

Nick also happens to have a huge puppy love crush on an Extraordinary who is the hero of his city. But this Extraordinary isn’t who Nick thinks he is. Turns out neither is the city’s villain.

If you’re paying attention none of the twists will catch you majorly off guard but they’re fun to see developed in the story. I also love the cliffhanger it ended with which gives me hope this is just the start to a series.
