As it turns out, I will read anything and everything TJ Klune writes. *hashtag fangirl for life* Klune writes some of the most beautiful characters and storylines I’ve ever experienced, and The Extraordinaries is a perfect example. The personalities and personas were unique and realistic (yes, even the superheroes), and absolutely engaging. Their relationships were authentic, supportive, and positive. Except, of course, for the villains, who were the perfect amount of sheisty and evil. And can I just say that the fan fiction aspect of the story was brilliant. (This is the third or fourth book I’ve read featuring fan fiction and I absolutely love it.) If you’re looking for a book featuring a solid good-versus-evil plotline and have an affinity for superheroes and dramatic teens, READ THIS BOOK! (And then go grab the sequel ASAP because Klune is brilliant.)
