This was a story meant for younger people, even with the little bit of sex advice from the dad, this was not a story that I can say was meant for me.
The main reason for this was how it was written. I have enjoyed younger stories like Junie B. Jones and Encyclopedia Brown, and the series of Unfortunate Events.
The main reason for this was how the author tries to include that the main character is gay. His dad says 'bottoming,' the comic the kid is writing is cute because fanfiction with him and a superhero made him more believable to me, but the phrasing for how he identifies felt like it was thrown in there again and again to make sure people knew he was different. Even the blurb did not feel like ADHD was not going to be used as a plot point and saying that his mind 'feels screwy sometimes' would have been better if it had actually came from the main character, but it had come from someone else and I honestly did not like that description.
Not for me due to the writing and how pieces of the main character were put out there as if for show. Not for me.
