I found this book to be a pleasant read about the impact of climate change.

This story is told from the perspective of 2 narrators. The first, Signe, is a 70 year old Norwegian woman, and is related mostly from flashbacks of her childhood, living among the fjords. She is strongly attached to the environment, and grows to be an environmental activist for her beloved homeland.

The second narrator, David, is a young father, strongly to survive the ravaged land of drought ridden Europe with his you g daughter, Lou, in 2041. Together, they arrive in a refugee camp, and deal with food and water rationing, while looking for David’s lost wife and young. David & Lou make the discovery of an old boat while out walking, and eventually make a plan to take the boat and create a new life.

The dialogue was engaging, and well written. It is sometimes difficult to follow a story told by alternating narrators, but I did not find that to be the case here.
